I checked out the blog stats today, and I was surprised to see that people are still checking in here. Sorry I've been absent! In all honesty, I quit blogging about the time I quit following the Protocol. I had been ready to move on to Phase 3, but my mixing partners wanted to continue, so I pressed on and immediately started cheating. I stole bites of this and that for a few days before stopping injections, and then I did not do Phase 3 right AT ALL. I moved right on to eating sugar and starch and did not restrict myself at all. How do you suppose that turned out???
Well...as of February 2nd, I had lost 18.4 pounds (remember that I started loading on January 1st) to hit a low-weight I hadn't seen in YEARS. I stayed there for one day before I started creeping back up (and then the aforementioned cheating began). In less than three weeks, I gained 7 pounds back. A month later, I had gained 14.4 of it back. All but four pounds of my Round 2 losses were completely thrown away. Boy, have I been kicking myself for that! But...lesson learned. I must not cheat and I must do a proper Phase 3 to be successful and maintain my losses.
I've dusted myself off (and have HS back on board) and started anew. We've been going again for 19 days, and I've reached a new all-time low. Sadly, I'm still 5.8 pounds from my Round 2 goal, and I think these are going to be among my hardest pounds to lose, but I'm sticking to it this time! It has been so much easier with HS back on-board! I might have to figure out a way to spike his water or something he'll have to do another round with me. :-)

Quick Note
I've had a post started for nearly three weeks, but I never finished it because everything sort of fell apart around that time. I decided I had had enough of the HCG for the Round, and gave in to some cheats. After a few days of that, I called the Round quits completely, and I'm ashamed to admit that I've actually gained about 7 pounds. Fortunately, I'm still down about 15 pounds for the Round, but I'm disappointed in myself for not doing better in Round 2.
So that's the BAD news. Good news: I already have a plan in place for Round 3! I'm gathering up another group (including HS!!!) to start again next month. This time around, I'm going to order all of the supplies myself instead of paying a markup to get a convenient kit. We should save about 50% by doing it that way. We have grown to more than a dozen people, and we're going to be placing our order in the next couple of days, so if you're interested in joining in, let me know ASAP.
I'll update more on my own personal progress in a couple days...or whenever I get to it! :-)

My Blogging is a lot like my cooking....
I only do it when I HAVE to! OK, so I don't have to blog, but I see that people are still checking every day to see if I've updated, so I guess I better.
Just as I expected, this round has been more difficult than the first one. Aside from the fact that I just am not into cooking for myself or my family, my losses have been much slower. By this time last round, I had lost nearly 25 pounds; this time around, I'm at 18.5. It's been hard to be HS-less this round, but fortunately, my dear friend and soul-sister has been on this round with me and we've been keeping each other going on the rough days. She's doing AMAZING!
I still have ten days left, and I can't stop thinking about "after." Last time, I was worried about moving into Phase 3, but this time, I can't wait. Mostly because I want to eat with my family again, but also because I really want some different veggies again. I've been sticking mainly with pickles because they require very little effort, but I'd LOVE to have some sauteed mushrooms or zucchini. Oh, and some creamy salad dressing. Oh, and chicken salad. Probably some cheese, too. HS and I have been talking about going out for Valentine's Day, but I just can't decide where to go without straying too far from the Phase 3 guidelines. I was looking at steakhouses, but I found that a lot of them add sugars and starches to their meat! We've talked about either Benihana or a Brazilian place that features all-you-can-meat, but I'm still open to suggestions if you've got some!
My weight loss tally so far:
Round 2 loss from start weight: 18.5 pounds
Round 2 loss from "load" weight: 24.4 pounds
Total loss from start weight in September: 44.0 pounds
Total loss from "load" weight in September: 50.0 pounds!
I have 6.7 more pounds I'd like to lose in the next ten days to meet my Round 2 goal. It's going to be tough, but if I make it, I'll see the lowest weight I've seen in about 8 years.
