So it's been a week since I broke one twenty-pound threshold (on Day 21, I dropped to more than 20 pounds below my peak post-load weight). I haven't celebrated yet because I wanted to make it official by being 20 pounds below my Day 1 weight (which was 3.4 pounds less than my peak weight). I figured that would only take a couple more days, but I still haven't hit it! For the past six days, I've had THREE POUNDS to lose, and this is how my weight loss has looked:
Day 22: -1.3 pounds
Day 23: 0
Day 24: -0.9 pounds
Day 25: -0.2 pounds
Day 26: -0.3 pounds
Day 27: -0.2 pounds
---------------
2.9 pounds!
I definitely have some pre-menstrual bloating going on, AND it's probably time for me to plateau a bit, but SERIOUSLY! If my losses don't pick up again, I'm going to end up FAR from my goal, and that will be depressing.
I'm already a little scared of "Phase 3"...that's the three weeks following the six weeks of injections. For that period of time, I am to increase our calorie consumption with an emphasis on protein. I am still supposed to avoid starch and sugar, but I don't have to limit fat or calories except to stay within two pounds of my weight on the morning of my last HCG injection. If I go above the two pound limit, I am to have a "steak day" in which I fast all day until 4-6pm, when I have a large steak and an apple or raw tomato. I'm dreading Phase 3 because I'll need to start worrying about what I eat again. Of course I can't live on 500 calories for the rest of my life, but it's been surprisingly nice to not have many food options because I just don't want to have to put that much thought into it.
So back to the doc tomorrow. Hopefully her measuring tape will have better news than my scale does.
